Unboxing & Review: Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device Custom Kit

This is the latest Portal gun replica from NECA. The 'custom kit' version combines all three previous version into one. You can customize this version to look like Atlas, P-Body or Chell's version of the device. 

The look of it as a display piece is great but I felt like the feel of it in your hands is a little more "pasticy" than I expected. The way the lights work also could have been handled better. That being said for what this is it's very reasonably priced. You can get it now for $99.99 over at the Big Bad Toy Store.

TV Review: The Walking Dead: Made to Suffer

The Walking Dead had a deep and dark hole to crawl back from at the end of season 2. That season being some of the worst character work and plotting I've ever seen on TV. Season 3 has been better so far. After the midseason finale tonight, season 3 isn't set to return again until February. So does the episodes so far and this finale provide enough juice to keep us interested for another three months?

Game Review: Halo 4

I'm a bit of a Halo fan. I have played an immeasurable amount of Halo: Combat Evolved, probably an embarrassing amount. The subsequent games' campaigns haven't enticed me the same but I'm happy to say Halo 4 is cruising very close to that original formula.

Giving a game a 10 is not something I took lightly. Halo 4 is not a perfect game but no game really is. It is a game that is greater than the sum of its parts however. Any minor gripe I had with it was outweighed by something that much better. Also taken into account was the great package this game ships with — Spartan Ops, Forge and an extensive multiplayer. Even though Halo 4 is the first 10/10 I've given this year, it's the first 10/10 I've ever given. That doesn't mean it is a lock for my favorite game of the year however, the race is still on.
