Today Amazon updated their Kindle Fire line of tablets and Kindle e-readers. First, the old stuff. Amazon lowered the price of the low end Kindle e-reader from $79 to $69 without many changes. The original Kindle Fire has been updated with a faster processor, more RAM and better battery life and even a lower price, starting at $159.
Amazon didn't stop there though. Amazon added three new Kindle Fire tablets to the lineup. The Kindle Fire HD, Kindle Fire HD 8.9" and Kindle Fire HD 8.9" 4G. The Kindle Fire HD has an HD 1280x800 display for up to 720p resolution and starts at $199. As their names imply the other models are 8.9" and have 1920x1200 HD screens for up to 1080p resolutions. The standard 8.9" model starts at $299 while the 4G model is priced at $499.
