A while back, the release schedule for Bungie's next games to be published under Activision were leaked. The game called 'Destiny' will have at least 4 main installments over a number of years. The first of which will hit in the fall of 2013. Not too fun to have the decade long road map of a studio posted online, but there you have it.
Now new details of 'Destiny' have been leaked, including images. Bungie has confirmed a lot of the info and images floating around and saying on their site, "We weren't quite ready, but we will be soon."
Destiny is said to be a MMO shooter on a grand scale and the concept art certainly lends truth to the rumor. Here is the synopsis for the game. Find more info and the rest of the concept art over at IGN.
"Our story begins seven hundred years from now in the Last City on Earth, in a Solar System littered with the ruins of man's Golden Age. A massive, mysterious alien ship hangs overhead like a second Moon. No one knows where it came from or what it's here for, but only that it's our protector. Meanwhile, strange, alien monsters creep in from the edge of the universe, determined to take Earth and the Last City. We are young ‘knights' tasked with defending the remains of humanity, discovering the source of these monsters and — eventually — overcoming it."
