See the first gameplay trailer for 'Borderlands 2'

96.5% more wub wub coming September 18th. This new trailer shows off all four new characters; Salvador, Maya, Axton, Zero. The trailer also shows off some new side characters and the main bad guy. His chief sin is having a soul patch made of metal.

I really liked Borderlands but the complaints I had were a lack of side characters and missions that I actually cared about. It looks like in Borderlands 2 the world is more densely populated and there will be more characters to obtain missions from. Check out the bombastic trailer after the break.

'Community' returns March 15th

Six seasons and a movie! We're not quite there (and The Cape sure as shit isn't) but Community will be back to finish its third season on NBC on March 15th at 8 p.m.. The fate of the show's fourth season is still up in the air but hopefully after the out pouring of support, NBC execs might show some favor to the show.

In somewhat disheartening news, Parks and Recreation will be taking a 5 week break in 3 weeks time. The show will be back on April 19th to finish out its fourth season but now will air at 9:30 p.m..

The unplanned Community hiatus has certainly led me to see how antiquated and ridiculous Neilson ratings are. With users on Twitter and Facebook speaking out and causing a relatively big stink about this, my hope is that TV execs might turn to fans before giving the show the axe. The viewers are there for the most part, but by their methods, networks are blind to them.

New Portal merchandise is sure to open a portal in my wallet

I apologize for the title joke. But it is true. How am I not supposed to buy a replica Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device? Complete with blue and orange lights I might add. There will only be a limited run of 5,000 of these so act fast.

If you aren't down for such a big investment there are some smaller Portal themed merch to get your hands on. A tiny Wheatly or Turret LED flashlight might be more your speed. Or if you're feeling adventurous you can make your own GLaDOS potato with the Portal 2 PotatOS Science Kit. In the middle of writing this I pre-ordered the Portal gun, I have no self control.

Watch a full length CG trailer for 'Mass Effect 3' 'Take Earth Back'

Check out this stunning CG trailer for Mass Effect 3. The cinematic trailer sets up the fight to take back earth from a Reaper invasion. The trailer itself is very beautiful but I'm wondering exactly how much of a role Earth will actually play. From what I saw in the demo it seems as though you'll play one mission there then start planet hopping and not return until possibly the end of the game. I could be wrong though. Mass Effect 3 is in stores March 6th, 2012.

Minecraft LEGO coming this summer, available for pre-order now

Since Minecraft first entered public consciences it's game play has been likened to real world LEGO building. That idea is coming full circle this summer as LEGO and Mojang introduce the first LEGO Minecraft playset.

The set — which will cost $34.99 — isn't exactly intended to be built to strict directions like other LEGO models. Instead you are encouraged to make it your own, like the game itself.

Considering that you most likely will be building original work, wouldn't going to a LEGO store and stocking up on square pieces be more cost effective? You do however get a LEGO Creeper and Steve to play with. Will you be pre-ordering this?

Hulu Plus now on the Wii

Netflix has seen a large number of users streaming from their Wii and now Hulu Plus is trying to get a piece of that action.

Right now you can go to the Wii shop channel and download Hulu Plus and get a free 2 week trial. Hulu Plus will also be coming to the 3DS later this year. Honestly I can't even be bothered to wipe down the my dust-caked Wii controllers to check this out. But if the Wii is your only streaming box, you're in luck.

Mac OS X Mountain Lion coming this summer

Apple announced in an unusually low-key way, that a paid update to OS X Lion will be coming to the Mac App Store this summer. The update called "Mountain Lion" follows in the footsteps of Snow Leopard as a paid minor update to a major release. Since OS X Lion cost $30 to begin with it will be interesting to see what they price this at.

This update brings a lot of features from iOS 5 to the Mac. iChat is being replaced by Messages and with that you can now chat with your iMessage contacts on your Mac. Reminders and a dedicated notes app are also coming along with Game Center. That could mean big things for Mac gaming but I'll get back to that. Twitter, sharing and iCloud are now integrated deeper and the Notification Center is now coming to the Mac.

All these features are pretty cool but I think Game Center is the stand out here. Apple showed off Firemint's Real Racing 2 in their demo which is a graphically intensive game. I think this new push could really benefit both platforms. If developers can easily port iOS games to the Mac that can create a much bigger market for games on the Mac which right now is basically nonexistent. With the opportunity to port games to Mac, developers have a bigger incentive to create graphic heavy games like Real Racing 2 or Infinity Blade II. Double Fine Kickstarter nearing $2 million, new update for backers

Tim Schafer took a moment to update folks on the status of their Kickstarter for 'Double Fine Adventure.' The project is currently at $1,814,231 and will likely hit $2 million by the weekend. With this increased budget Double Fine is able to make good on some promises like support for Mac and Linux. There will also be support for iOS and Android devices.

Voice acting also now can be added to the game as well as subtitles in English, French, Italian, German, Esperanto and Spanish. The previously announced beta access for backers will only be on Steam but a DRM free version will be available for fans who like their adventure games "loosey goosey." Take a quick look at the Pixar short 'La Luna'

La Luna has been making some festivial rounds but the first time the general public will get a look at it is on June 22, 2012 ahead of Brave.

Early looks hinted that this will be more than an average Pixar short and this brief look doesn't disappoint. Every frame here looks absolutely beautiful. Take a look at the clip after the break.
