'The Dark Knight Rises' set photos sneak out *Spoilers*

Before you read any further, if you don't want one bit of The Dark Knight Rises spoiled, stop reading now. Oh, you're all still here, alright. The latest Nolan Batman film is currently shooting in Pittsburgh. Very uncharacteristically of Christopher Nolan, he is filming in public for any passer by to take note of the action. From what people have taken pictures of it does show vital parts of what is to come in the new film.

Most notable of these spoilers is a hand-to-hand fight scene between the Dark Knight himself and Bane. One of at least two encounters, as we saw a glimpse of another fist fight in the teaser trailer. Also we get to see Tom Hardy as Bane in full costume. I think he looks pretty badass but Batman purists might dismiss the look for not having an excess of rippling muscles. In one shot, as Bane is grappling with Batman, a Gotham City officer is fighting off a man in plain clothes. Possibly Bane has released the captives of Arkham Asylum to be used as his pawns?

Keep reading to read more speculation from these set photos, see the pics themselves and see a video of 3 Tumblers preparing to shoot.

Trailer: Red Tails

As I watched this trailer and began to see the faces of what we are assumed to think are the main characters I thought "Hey, that's cool it's an all black cast and doesn't seem to be about the color of their skin, they are just badass pilots." Nope, I was wrong, it's all about that.

The film still looks great and there's nothing wrong with an empowering movie but I thought for one second it might be something that was empowering in a different way. Anyways, the film will probably be an emotional roller coaster with a lot of cliches in the script but some fantastic action on screen. Not sure if this will be in 3D or IMAX but from the trailer, the increased ticket price might be worth it. Red Tails will be out January 20th 2012.

Nintendo 3DS drops to $170 August 12th

On August 12th you'll be able to pick up a 3DS for the much lower price of $169.99. The $80 price drop from the original $249.99 is quite a shocker. This big move comes after Nintendo turned in a pretty disappointing quarter financially. I guess it's safe to assume the 3DS had something to do with that.

If your wondering why Nintendo is giving a 16-day warning on a price drop, it's because they plan to offer some goodies to early adopters. If you own a a 3DS already and connect to the eShop before midnight on August 11th you can snag 20 free eShop games. Not a bad deal. I'll post a list of the games you will be able to get when they are available after the break. Take note of the 10 games in the second wave of this kick-back. They will not be available at all after this special promotion. That move is pretty strange because there are some games in there that I'm sure would move some copies.

I know I'll be on the lookout for retailers dropping price early, maybe you can get in on both deals if you act quick.

Movie Review: Captain America: The First Avenger

This summer is not lacking in superhero films. Unlike many others I'm not complaining about that. Watching movies isn't some burden, they're supposed to be fun, exciting, entertaining. Captain America: The First Avenger is all those things. It's hard not to go into superhero films a bit skeptical though. After all a studio is taking an iconic character and is creating a story that will represent that hero for years, or until they make a reboot. Thankfully, I don't think the Cap will be needing a reboot anytime soon.

Being 'The First Avenger' Captain America's story predates the rest of his future Avengers by 70 years. Taking place during World War II is the best place to embrace all the Americana that Captain America A.K.A. Steve Rogers exudes.

Updated Xbox 360 peripherals coming this November

The Xbox 360 started off only available in white. Later they offered the 'Elite' model which came in black. Now we have a redesigned model, the Xbox 360 S, which comes in a shiny black finish. Some peripherals have not been updated to match this new finish and it only seems right to have matching peripherals, you aren't an animal are you?

A little while back Microsoft added a wireless racing wheel to its peripheral line up and now they are adding a few more things. First is a brand new headset that, of course, comes in the shiny black finish. This headset boasts Xbox 360 chatting capability but also has Bluetooth connectivity. So you could connect to a PC or a cell phone, perhaps an iPhone or maybe even a PS3. I haven't seen reports to the contrary. The PS3 is capable of utilizing any normal Bluetooth headset so why not this one? It'll be out in early November and run you $59.99.

Frank Darabont stepping down as showrunner of AMC's 'The Walking Dead'

Photo: EmpireAMC was a network that could do no wrong. Mad Men and Breaking Bad offered HBO quality programming (minus the boobs and the cursing) on a cable channel. Lately it seems the network is slipping. Rubicon failed to bring in a crowd, The Killing disappointed many, The later half of The Walking Dead was a bit of a let down and in my own opinion the new season of Breaking Bad is a little dry, but that can still change.

Now the news comes that Frank Darabont, the showrunner behind The Walking Dead, will be leaving his position. It's not clear yet as to what role Darabont would take in the series going forward if any at all. This comes as a pretty big blow to the show which will have to win back some fans when it premieres its second season this October.

From the outside looking in it seemed that AMC was letting great story tellers do their best with little restriction. But as the network's popularity rose so did the network's influence over the shows. Even the new season of Mad Men is delayed until 2012 because AMC and Matthew Weiner could not agree on a contract. What is going on over at AMC? Things were going so well, they had the best shows on TV as HBO was in a bit of a lull but with Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire and the upcoming Luck, AMC has their work cut out. There is always room for good TV, all AMC has to do is get back to what they do best.
