TMNT returning to the small screen on Nickelodeon : UPDATE

Along with Power Rangers, I grew up on the Turtles. So it's nice to see their spirit being continued on with a younger generation. The new look of the Turtles is closer to the recent CG film with a more old school feel. The show, which will air on Nickelodeon in 2012, will likely serve as a refresher for the mass before the rumored live action version of the turtles hits the big screen.

Nickelodeon has had success bringing in a wide age range of viewers for it's Avatar: the Last Airbender series (the cartoon, not the film). With the right right writers and approach it could bring the fab four back to forefront of mutant teenaged kids entertainment.

UPDATE: Entertainment Weekly has a short video of the new turtles in action. Albeit, very brief. It's what you'd expect after seeing the pictures so far, what do you think?
